The new meta progression in Season 2 revolves around items. Players can earn items by playing and winning ranked matches. These items slightly enhance your spaceships' performance.
Equipping items for a ship involves using its six slots:
2 for offensive items
2 for defensive items
2 for utility items.
Each ship has its own set of items, so if you want to play a shooter today, you must ensure our shooter is equipped before the game. Items on a given ship cannot be changed during the game.
In the game we have offensive, defensive and utility items:
Damage Enhancement System - increases our total damage
Anomaly Bane - boosts damage caused by anomalies and star seed
Assault Core - enhances the damage we inflict on enemy ships
Hull Reinforcement Matrix - increases our maximum health
Shield Reinforcement Matrix - increases our maximum shield
Shield Augmentation Matrix - increases our maximum shield every minute of gameplay
Hull Augmentation Matrix - increases our maximum health every minute of gameplay
Aegis Module - enhances our damage resistance
StarDust Supply - we start with more StarDust at the beginning of the game
StarDust Generator - increases our passive StarDust earnings by a given percentage
Vampirism - when attacking an enemy, we regain some health based on the damage inflicted
All the items we acquire can be sold in exchange for a small amount of Credits.
We're introducing the ability to upgrade acquired items. Each item can be upgraded up to five times. If you have a +4 item with a rarity of common, rare, or epic, leveling it up to +5 will change its rarity to the next level with a +0 upgrade. Only legendary items can be upgraded to +5.
To upgrade an item, move it to the upgrade tool and insert the items you wish to sacrifice to enhance the main item. Upgrading also requires credits.
Items are obtained as loot during gameplay by performing certain actions:
destroying StarDust containers,
destroying enemy ships,
capturing anomalies,
winning the game.
Items acquired by the player go into an unlimited stash where the player can manage them and equip them on their ships.
Each player has a daily limit on how many items they can obtain in a single day. Once this limit is reached, the player cannot loot any more items that day.
Daily Items Acquired
We can collect up to 30 items per day. By purchasing an "item permit" in the store, we can increase the number of items we can acquire on a given day.
Total Items Acquired Today
This is the sum of items collected during a day's play, along with their rarities.
Drop Chance
This is the probability of obtaining an item of a specific rarity. The higher your rank, the better your chances of receiving higher rarity items: Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary.
Items permits allow players to increase the daily limit of items that they can get by playing and winning ranked matches.
